The ADAA Fair Announces 2026 Public Programming

The ADAA Fair announces 2026 public programming, bringing together leading collectors, curators, and cultural voices for conversations on art, philanthropy, and legacy

The ADAA (Art Dealers Association of America) today announced the public programming lineup for the inaugural edition of the ADAA Fair, taking place November 13–16, 2026, at the Park Avenue Armory. Bringing together 63 of the nation's leading galleries presenting historical, modern, and contemporary art, the newly reimagined Fair will feature a series of conversations exploring the vital relationships among artists, gallerists, collectors, advisors, philanthropists, and cultural institutions that shape the art world and sustain its legacy.

Through conversations examining the intersection of collecting and philanthropy, the responsibilities of art stewardship, and the preservation of artistic legacies, the public program reflects the ADAA's longstanding commitment to scholarship, cultural engagement, and the essential role galleries play in supporting artists and institutions. Featuring distinguished voices from across the commercial and nonprofit arts sectors, the program offers visitors an opportunity to engage with the ideas and individuals shaping the cultural landscape.

“The ADAA Fair celebrates exceptional works of art alongside the relationships and expertise that sustain artists and their work across generations.” said Kinsey Robb, Executive Director of the ADAA. “Our programming brings together collectors, gallerists, advisors, curators, and cultural leaders to explore the many ways art can enrich communities, advance scholarship, and create lasting cultural legacies. These conversations reflect the essential contributions our member galleries make to the arts every day.”

The 2026 ADAA Fair is presented with the generous support of Intact Insurance, the Fair's Exclusive Lead Insurance Partner, whose partnership reflects a shared commitment to the thoughtful stewardship, protection, and long-term preservation of art and cultural heritage.

Public programs will be held at the Park Avenue Armory and are included with ADAA Fair admission at no additional cost. Advance registration is required, and seating is limited.

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 15

Building an art collection is only the beginning. This conversation explores the responsibilities of art ownership beyond acquisition, bringing together perspectives from fine art insurance, private collection management, and art advisory to examine how collectors and their advisors navigate risk, valuation, conservation, and acquisition strategy while safeguarding artworks for future generations. The discussion will also consider how thoughtful stewardship can extend beyond individual collections to support artists, strengthen relationships with museums, and contribute to philanthropic legacies. With a focus on the broader art ecosystem, the conversation highlights the essential role galleries play in nurturing artists, connecting them with cultural institutions, and sustaining a vibrant cultural landscape.

2:00 PM — Building an Artist's Legacy: The Relationships That Shape Art History

In celebration of Betye Saar’s centennial, representatives from the Getty Research Institute, The Museum of Modern Art, and Roberts Projects will explore how an artist’s legacy is built and sustained through an interconnected network of galleries, museums, scholars, and archives. Using Saar’s career as a lens, the conversation will examine legacy as an evolving process shaped by exhibitions, scholarship, institutional acquisitions, and long-term relationships, with the gallerist often serving as a central point of continuity. The panel coincides with Roberts Projects’ solo presentation of Saar’s assemblage works at the ADAA Fair.
