Health, safety, and conduct protocols for visitors

By attending the ADAA Fair, all visitors agree to the following:

• Tickets are final—non-refundable and non-exchangeable.
• Attendance constitutes acceptance of the full ADAA Fair Terms of Admission and Visitor Policies.
• Please do not attend if you or anyone in your party is feeling ill; check the website for up-to-date guidance before arrival.
• Follow all on-site staff instructions. Disruptive, dangerous, or abusive behavior may result in immediate removal without refund.
• Artworks may not be touched.
• Given the nature of artistic expression, some artworks on view or programming presented in conjunction with the fair may contain or refer to sensitive and/or mature content.
• No pets, except trained service animals assisting individuals with disabilities.
• Photography, video, and audio recording may occur on-site; attendance constitutes consent to the use of your likeness in ADAA promotional and archival materials.
• All visitors and belongings are subject to security screening. Large bags, backpacks, umbrellas, and coats larger than 9" x 4" x 12" (21 x 10 x 30 cm) must be checked at complimentary coat check.
• Artwork may not be brought into the fair unless accompanied by a badged exhibitor.
• Personal, non-commercial photography is allowed if it doesn't endanger artworks or disrupt other visitors; tripods and professional equipment require prior authorization.

School group visitor protocols

In addition to the general visitor policies:

Group size & chaperones

• Maximum 12 students per group; larger schools should divide into smaller groups.
• Required chaperones: 1 per 12 students (ages 16–18) or 2 per 12 students (ages 15 and under). Chaperones must stay with their group at all times and wear visible school ID.
• Tickets are emailed in advance to chaperones, who are responsible for printing and distributing them to students.
• Some artworks or programming may contain sensitive or mature content; chaperones should use discretion for students in their care.

Indemnity

Schools are responsible for obtaining parental/guardian consent for the visit and for briefing students on fair conduct policies, and agree to indemnify and hold harmless ADAA Fair, ADAA, and all connected third parties for any failure to do so. ADAA Fair is not responsible for travel to the fair or visitor behavior on-site. By using their ticket, schools and chaperones accept this indemnification on behalf of all student attendees and agree to the rules of conduct below.

Rules of conduct:

• Do not touch artworks.
• Keep noise levels down on the show floor.
• No sitting on floors or stairs; use designated seating areas.
• Sketch pads are not permitted on the show floor.
• Personal, non-commercial photography is allowed if it doesn't endanger artworks or disrupt others; no tripods, and photographing inside gallery stands requires the gallerist's permission.
• Professional photography/filming may occur; attendance grants permission for non-commercial use of your image.
• Follow all on-site staff instructions. Disruptive, dangerous, or abusive behavior may result in immediate removal.
• One personal bag per person; backpacks, suitcases, and trolleys (except mobility devices) are not permitted. Complimentary coat check is available for bags and loose items.
