The Art Dealers Association of America (“ADAA”) is committed to making adaafair.org accessible to all visitors, including those with disabilities. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, the internationally recognized standard for web accessibility.
What We Have Done
We have taken the following steps to make this site more accessible:
- Used semantic HTML landmarks so screen readers can navigate the page structure
- Provided a logical heading hierarchy throughout all pages
- Ensured all interactive elements are reachable and operable by keyboard alone
- Added descriptive labels to all buttons, links, and form fields
- Marked decorative images and media as hidden from assistive technology
- Ensured the mailing list form is fully accessible, with error messages announced to screen readers
- Respected the operating system “Reduce Motion” preference by disabling scroll animations for users who have enabled it
- Set the page language so screen readers use the correct voice and pronunciation
